Job summary

FCC Environmental Services in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated CDL Class B driver to safely collect and transport residential and commercial waste on assigned routes. You will perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure all safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B license required per job posting.
• Experience with garbage/recycling operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on CDL vehicle.
• Safely operate waste collection routes through urban, residential, and alleyways.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers.
• Maintain accurate route paperwork and reporting.
• Follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations to minimize risk.
• Assist with vehicle and loading area cleanup as needed.

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Start your career with FCC and become part of our global team of passionate waste industry professionals.Position Summary:The driver's position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Completes a pre- and post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.Ensure commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.Ability to manually and/or automatically operate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.Education:High School diploma or GEDExperience and Competencies:Garbage/Recycling experience preferredClass B commercial driver’s licenseAbility to lift or carry heavy objects as necessaryMust meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulationsClearinghouse profile requiredFCC is a drug-free workplace.
