Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips; perform basic maintenance checks and promptly report any issues.
• Assist with material handling tasks such as organizing, labeling, and maintaining inventory; complete required paperwork and documentation for trips and material movements.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and clients to ensure smooth operations; promote and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and warehouse spaces, as part of daily responsibilities.

Overview

Van-Am Defense Systems, located in Waverly, IA, is a trusted manufacturer committed to delivering exceptional products and services. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Driver/Material Handler to join our team. This role involves safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and products, along with material handling and inventory management. The position is Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Van-Am Defense Systems provides a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401K.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a combination of driving, warehouse, and loading dock settings. You may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and physical tasks as part of your responsibilities.
