Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a delivery professional to provide timely product distribution to customers. You will represent the company with courtesy and professionalism, ensure trucks are in good condition, and perform required duties to support accurate deliveries.

The role requires operating cranes/forklifts, completing paperwork, and following safety protocols. A CDL and ability to lift up to 70 pounds are essential, with opportunities to train others and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CDL license (Class A/B) required or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Use Radio Frequency Gun to scan items.
  • Verify correct items loaded on the truck for delivery.
  • Perform periodic inspections before/during/after delivery to ensure load is secure.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks; ensure proper securing and weight compliance.
  • Protect materials from outdoor elements during transport.
  • Deliver product and accompanying paperwork to customers in a timely, courteous manner.
  • Clean up debris from loading/unloading; maintain truck cleanliness.
  • Maintain truck and perform required inspections.
  • Complete all daily paperwork (logs, delivery receipts, inspections, hours).
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.
  • Collect COD money and hand to the proper personnel on return.
  • Provide feedback to supervision on delivery or equipment issues.
  • Assist in lean and quality improvement activities.
  • Train others when required.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities


  • Radio Frequency Gun usage

  • Verify that correct items are loaded on the truck for delivery.

  • Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.

  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks. Ensure truck is properly secured and not overweight.

  • Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.

  • Deliver product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner.

  • Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.

  • Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections.

  • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.

  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

  • Collect any COD money owed and ensure that money is given to the proper personnel upon return to the plant.

  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems on returned proof of delivery sheets (load sheet)

  • Assist in activities related to lean and/or quality.

  • Train others when required.

  • This position requires a commercial driver’s license (CDL).

Job Compensation

27.58 Hourly with 0.75 cents shift differential for total of 28.33 hourly
