Job summary

QXO in Massachusetts is seeking a CDL driver to perform touch-freight, load verification, and safety inspections at loading sites. You will inspect the truck, verify loads, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL and at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience, with the ability to work outdoors in all weather and to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, loading/unloading products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for a safe loading/unloading environment.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and wear PPE.
