Job Summary

Are you an experienced driver with a passion for hands-on fieldwork? We are looking for a skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team, delivering essential services in emergency response, industrial maintenance, facility decontamination, and site remediation. This role involves both driving and working on-site as part of a dynamic team, ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork in remediation and industrial maintenance projects under supervision.
• Drive a vacuum truck or similar equipment approximately 30% of the time and work on-site as part of the team.
• Complete all required paperwork, including timesheets, driver logs, vehicle inspections, and safety forms.
• Adhere to project scope and enforce compliance with contracts, schedules, and company policies.
• Work safely in varying environments, ensuring all tasks are performed according to safety standards.
• Operate various vehicles safely, including vacuum trucks, trailers, turbo-vacs, roll-off trucks, and hydro-vacs.
• Be prepared for project work that may require out-of-town travel for two weeks or more.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds or more.
• Work year-round in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and hazardous environments.
• Maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator fit when necessary.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission is required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment.
• Experience in related fields such as emergency response, manual labor, construction, or industrial cleaning is preferred.
• Valid Class "B" or "A" CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• TWIC certification preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and Confined Space Entry certifications are a plus but not required.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, substance screening, and ongoing employment verifications.
