About Our Client
Our Client is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to support the transportation and delivery of agricultural equipment, machinery, parts, and materials to customers, vendors, and company locations.
The CDL Driver plays an important role in ensuring safe, timely, and professional deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
This position primarily consists of local and regional routes, allowing drivers to be home most nights. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, strong knowledge of DOT and cargo-securement requirements, and preferably hands‑on experience transporting agricultural or heavy equipment.
Position Summary
Our Client is seeking an experienced and reliable CDL Driver responsible for safely transporting agricultural equipment, machinery, parts, and materials to customers, vendors, and company locations.
The successful candidate will operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies, safely load and secure equipment, complete required inspections and documentation, and communicate effectively with management and customers.
The role also requires the driver to assist with loading and unloading equipment and provide support to the Service, Parts, and Sales Departments when needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and company policies.
- Transport agricultural equipment, tractors, feed mixers, skid steers, telehandlers, attachments, parts, materials, and other heavy equipment.
- Deliver equipment, parts, and materials to customers and company locations safely and on schedule.
- Load, unload, and properly secure equipment using chains, straps, binders, and other approved cargo-securement methods.
- Inspect loads to ensure they meet all applicable state and federal transportation requirements.
- Plan routes and coordinate delivery schedules with management.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, fuel records, delivery confirmations, and other required documentation.
- Report accidents, vehicle damage, traffic violations, mechanical issues, or other transportation concerns immediately.
- Communicate delivery delays or other issues to management in a timely manner.
Agricultural Equipment Handling
- Safely load and unload agricultural equipment from trailers.
- Operate tractors, skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment as necessary for loading and unloading.
- Properly secure equipment to prevent movement or shifting during transportation.
- Inspect equipment before and after transportation for damage and report any concerns.
- Understand weight distribution and axle-weight requirements.
- Follow oversize-load procedures when applicable.
- Assist the Service and Sales Departments with equipment transfers between locations and customer deliveries.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Our Client positively during customer interactions.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
- Complete required pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections.
- Keep assigned trucks and trailers clean and in good operating condition.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance requirements and promptly report needed repairs.
- Follow all applicable DOT regulations and FMCSA requirements.
- Follow all Our Client safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings and required training.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safe driving, proper cargo securement, and accident prevention.
Customer Service
- Deliver equipment professionally, safely, and courteously.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and equipment transfers.
- Review equipment with customers upon delivery when necessary.
- Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and other required documentation.
- Communicate customer concerns, delivery issues, delays, or special requests to management promptly.
- Represent Our Client professionally at customer locations.
Warehouse & Team Support
- Assist with loading and unloading freight and equipment in the company yard.
- Help organize equipment and inventory as needed.
- Support the Service, Parts, and Sales Departments during slower delivery periods.
- Assist with equipment transfers between company locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to meet Our Client insurance requirements.
- Experience hauling trailers and heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience transporting agricultural or construction equipment strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo-securement requirements.
- Ability to safely load, unload, secure, and transport heavy equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts, tractors, skid steers, telehandlers, or willingness to obtain required certifications.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, responsible, and punctual.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have previous experience hauling agricultural equipment and understand the unique transportation requirements associated with farm machinery.

- Climb on and off trucks, trailers, and equipment throughout the workday.
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and secure loads.
- Perform physical activities associated with loading and unloading equipment.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Sit for extended periods while driving.
- Safely inspect vehicles and transported equipment.
- Safely climb onto trailers and heavy equipment as required.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Primarily Monday through Friday.
- Local and regional routes.
- Most nights spent at home.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.
- Schedule may vary depending on delivery requirements and customer needs.
