Job summary

  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, GPS systems, and other navigational tools.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer, straight truck, or other designated vehicle, to transport products or equipment to specified destinations. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Secure products and equipment using appropriate methods.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintain accurate records of all trips, including trip logs, fuel consumption, and any incidents or violations.
  • Communicate with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries.
  • Assist in rental department and yard as needed.
  • Offer support and assistance to coworkers during peak periods or in their absence.

Job description

SUMMARY:

The CDL Driver’s primary responsibility is to safely transport products and equipment while adhering to regulations, maintaining vehicle integrity, and prioritizing the well-being of themselves and others on the road. This position will effectively and accurately load and unload and secure products and equipment. The CDL Driver will be responsible for inspections and reporting of any defects or maintenance issues.
