Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL Driver to safely transport building materials and support loading/unloading at customer sites. The role requires adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations and hands-on material handling in a fast-paced environment.

You must be 21+, hold a valid Class A or B CDL, and have a minimum of 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience. Outdoor work in all weather is required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks weighing up to 75 lbs or more.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for safety.
• Maintain communication with dispatcher for timely delivery.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, PPE usage.

What you’ll do:

The CDL Driver (Class A or B) is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on support in loading, unloading, securing, and verifying materials while ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized, specialized, or engineered building components. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

Salary Range:

USD $26.80 - USD $33.50 /Hr.
