Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC seeks a CDL Driver to support a customer out of Kahului, Hawai'i. The role covers shipping, receiving, transportation, and disbursement of packages, parts, materials, and equipment across sites including Bldg. 550, RME, and Haleakala Summit.

Responsibilities include inventory control with RF scanning, pallet wrapping, forklift operation, and coordinating outbound shipments. Requires a CDL with Hazmat endorsement and 5 years in warehouse/shipping roles.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressive experience in warehouse supply shipping and receiving.
• Knowledge of common safety practices and protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to meet deadlines and effective organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to use common office machinery.
• Ability to work well as a team player in a challenging work environment.
• Skill in the use of hand and power tools commonly used in the construction trade.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory management duties including cycle counts, RF scanning, and maintaining database records.
• Pick and pack pharmaceutical product inventory with accuracy using WMS and RF scanners.
• Perform raw material sampling, inventory counts, and HAZMAT shipments.
• Train to follow OSHA safety guidelines, operate a forklift and automated equipment.
• Attend OSHA safety certification classes.
• Wrap pallets for stability and load product properly.
• Coordinate outbound shipping with logistics companies for proper destination and billing.
• Learn effective picking methods and pallet construction, operate wrapping machines.
• Stock shelves using FIFO rotation to ensure product quality and expiration dates.
• Assist with delivering HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Transport materials, parts, and supplies to all locations per PWS.
• Develop and follow a transportation schedule.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors.
• Manage all warehouse aspects to meet transportation requirements.

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC has a need for a CDL Driver to support a customer out of Kahului, Hawai'i.

The primary responsibility is to manage all shipping, receiving, transportation, and disbursement of all packages, parts, materials, equipment, goods, and supplies required across all sites to include by not limited to Bldg. 550, RME, and the Summit of Haleakala.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily inventory management duties consisting of: cycle counting, RF scanning, maintain database records, and systems.
• Pick and pack pharmaceutical product inventory with optimum accuracy using warehouse management system and RF scanners.
• Perform raw material sampling, inventory counts, and HAZMAT shipments.
• Train to follow OSHA safety guidelines and practices, use a forklift, and other automated equipment.
• Attend OSHA regulate safety certification classes.
• Wrapped pallets for stability load product properly to minimize damage.
• Coordinate proper metering of outbound packages shipping via commercial logistics companies to ensure proper destination and company billing.
• Learned effective picking methodologies, proper pallet construction and operation of automated wrapping machine.
• Stock warehouse shelves using FIFO rotation to ensure product quality and expiration dates are valid.
• Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Transports material, parts, and supplies to all locations under the operations of this contract.
• Ability to develop and follow a transportation schedule.
• Engage and coordinate with maintenance teams as well as vendors.
• Manage all aspects of the warehouse and ensure transportation requirements are met in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Environmental Factors/Physical Effort

Environmental Factors: Works in indoor and outdoor environments that contain excessive heat, cold and humidity, excessive dampness, dust, solvents grease, oils, moving machinery with moving parts, moving object or vehicles and slippery or uneven surfaces.

Physical Effort: Frequently lifts parts and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally over fifty pounds. Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and stretching for prolonged periods will be necessary.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
