Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC in Kahului, Hawai'i, is seeking a CDL Driver to manage shipping, receiving, transportation, and inventory across sites including Haleakala area. The role requires a valid CDL with Hazmat and a clean driving record, plus five years in warehouse shipping/receiving.

You will operate RF scanners, coordinate outbound shipments, and support HVAC freight delivery, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventory with cycle counts, RF scanning, and database records.
• Pick and pack pharmaceuticals using warehouse management system and RF scanners.
• Perform raw material sampling and hazmat shipments.
• Train on OSHA safety guidelines, use forklift and automated equipment.
• Attend OSHA certification classes.
• Wrap pallets for stable loading to minimize damage.
• Coordinate outbound shipments with logistics companies and billing.
• Learn and implement effective picking methodologies and pallet construction.
• Stock shelves with FIFO to ensure product quality and expiration dates.
• Assist with delivering HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Transport materials to sites under contract.
• Develop and follow transportation schedules.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors.
• Ensure warehouse and transportation needs meet PWS requirements.

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC has a need for a CDL Driver to support a customer out of Kahului, Hawai'i.

The primary responsibility is to manage all shipping, receiving, transportation, and disbursement of all packages, parts, materials, equipment, goods, and supplies required across all sites to include by not limited to Bldg. 550, RME, and the Summit of Haleakala.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily inventory management duties consisting of: cycle counting, RF scanning, maintain database records, and systems.
• Pick and pack pharmaceutical product inventory with optimum accuracy using warehouse management system and RF scanners.
• Perform raw material sampling, inventory counts, and HAZMAT shipments.
• Train to follow OSHA safety guidelines and practices, use a forklift, and other automated equipment.
• Attend OSHA regulate safety certification classes.
• Wrapped pallets for stability load product properly to minimize damage.
• Coordinate proper metering of outbound packages shipping via commercial logistics companies to ensure proper destination and company billing.
• Learned effective picking methodologies, proper pallet construction and operation of automated wrapping machine.
• Stock warehouse shelves using FIFO rotation to ensure product quality and expiration dates are valid.
• Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Transports material, parts, and supplies to all locations under the operations of this contract.
• Ability to develop and follow a transportation schedule.
• Engage and coordinate with maintenance teams as well as vendors.
• Manage all aspects of the warehouse and ensure transportation requirements are met in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) years of progressive experience in warehouse supply shipping and receiving.
• Knowledge of common safety practices and protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to meet deadlines and effective organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to use common office machinery.
• Ability to work well as a team player in a challenging work environment.
• Skill in the use of hand and power tools commonly used in the construction trade.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Experience with MS Office applications.

Environmental Factors/Physical Effort:

Environmental Factors: Works in indoor and outdoor environments that contain excessive heat, cold and humidity, excessive dampness, dust, solvents grease, oils, moving machinery with moving parts, moving object or vehicles and slippery or uneven surfaces.

Physical Effort: Frequently lifts parts and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally over fifty pounds. Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and stretching for prolonged periods will be necessary.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
