Job summary

Elgin Sweeper, a Federal Signal subsidiary, seeks a driver to operate trucks and Pelican sweepers across the United States. You will maintain equipment, manage travel expenses, and transport demonstration gear to client sites, while complying with DOT rules.

This role is part-time with travel varying weekly. CDL Class A is required; previous equipment operation experience is preferred. Excellent benefits accompany the position.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck and trailer to customers across the United States.
• Maintain correct mechanical function of equipment and accessories.
• Prepare expense reports for training and demonstrations to manage costs.
• Transport demonstration equipment to end customer locations nationwide.
• Comply with U.S. DOT regulations for transportation of equipment.
• Assist with set-up and other trade show activities.

• Prepare all expense reports to capture all expenses related to training and demonstrations in an effort to manage and contain costs.
• Transport demonstration equipment to and from end customer locations throughout the United States.
• Comply with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations regarding the transportation of equipment.
• Assist with set-up and other trade show activity as required.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree (business or technical emphasis) preferred.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) holder and 1-3 years of driving experience
• Experience operating equipment preferred
• This role is anticipated to be part time and hours will vary by the week based on travel schedule and distance.

Anticipated Pay Range: $35.00+ based on experience
