Purpose:

The CDL Driver will partner with the NHT team and customers by picking up and delivering freight to various locations. This position is responsible for verifying and maintaining case counts and paperwork of the daily loads at all times.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

• Ensure quality customer service.
• Provide accurate and neat paperwork.
• Service the five boroughs in NYC.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Break down freight as needed.
• Maintain clean and neat equipment.

Education & Experience:

• Must have and maintain a valid CDL.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Hold a valid driver’s license for at least three years (non-CDL license acceptable).
• Support and adhere to NHT’s mission, vision, and core values.
• Power jack certification (training and certification provided if necessary).
• Ability to utilize technology related to E-Log software.

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:

Must be physically capable of working in cold environments, sitting for extended periods, and performing physical tasks such as stacking boxes and lifting up to 50 lbs.
