Job summary

QXO in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Class A CDL driver to join our logistics team. You will perform touch-freight tasks, load and unload, verify loads for accuracy, and ensure items are secured during transit.

This role requires you to be at least 21 years old and capable of lifting up to 75 pounds. You will communicate regularly with the dispatcher, follow DOT safety procedures, wear PPE, and drive responsibly to deliver building products to customers on schedule while upholding QXO’s service

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, may lift/carry products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, verify the load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and wear appropriate PPE.
