Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries to job sites.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards and collaborate with customers for material placement.
• Document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials with forklifts or manually, handling items up to 100 lbs.
• Operate in varied weather and noisy environments.
• Read and interpret job‑related documents in English.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Physical capability to drive long hours and handle materials up to 100 lbs.
• Age 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat). Pass background checks, drug tests, and E‑Verify, and verify FMCSA Clearinghouse status.
• Operate forklifts safely and comply with safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Certifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration.

Working Conditions

Drivers must manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support.

Salary and Benefits

• Base salary between $23.51 and $29.90 per hour (subject to experience and other factors).
• Overtime, performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, and a car allowance or automobile and fuel program.
