Job Description

L&W Supply is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. L&W Supply delivers the products and capabilities offered by a national distributor paired with the service and personal touch usually found only in a locally owned business.

If you are a licensed CDL Driver seeking a rewarding, local opportunity with an established company, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will ensure the safety of each delivery from departure to completion.

Specific Duties May Include

1. Operating a delivery vehicle to/from the delivery site
2. Unloading and stocking building materials on jobsites as directed
3. Physically handling material with a co-worker
4. Overseeing the safe loading of the delivery vehicle to ensure accuracy and quality
5. Obeying all safety directives from regulatory agencies and the company
6. Following all traffic laws and weight limits
7. Supervising and expediting unloading at delivery sites for safety and accuracy
8. Ensuring site safety related to delivery
9. Distributing and placing building materials as indicated on the order ticket
10. Operating a boom, crane, or Gradall as needed
11. Maintaining a neat and presentable delivery appearance
12. Possible warehouse work including loading/unloading trucks or into the warehouse
13. This position does not require over-the-road travel

Specific Qualifications Include

1. Valid CDL - Class B minimum
2. Ability to unload, transport, and position building materials
3. Physical ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout shifts
4. Ability to lift and carry 250 lbs with assistance
5. Boom truck experience is a plus
