Job summary

Ashby Lumber is seeking a delivery driver for timely and safe distribution of materials in Concord, CA. You will operate a large truck, load and unload, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining professional conduct with customers and vendors.

The role requires a valid CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass DOT screening. You must stay in contact with Dispatch, follow Ashby Lumber policies, and work overtime as needed to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT screening.
• Current medical card where required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers on schedule and safely.
• Pickup materials from vendors when needed.
• Maintain professional customer interactions.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to manage routes and changes.
• Follow safety policies and complete daily vehicle inspections.
