Job summary

Ferguson in Grimes, IA is seeking a CDL driver to deliver materials to customers Monday through Friday, leveraging pallet jack and dolly, and to support warehouse operations. The role requires a valid CDL, 21+ years, and 1+ year experience; lifting up to 50 lbs, safety compliance, and basic use of iPads are required.

Starting pay is $19.26 per hour with potential for higher based on experience; benefits, overtime, and a strong safety program accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 1+ years of CDL driving experience preferred.
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must currently, have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs.
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the customer, using pallet jack and dolly for loading/unloading and ensuring delivery of tickets with material.
• Pickup customer returns, validate product match for credits.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; report problems to supervisor.
• Follow and implement all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling/preparing orders for shipment; receive, verify, stock incoming material.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including PPE, with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
