Job summary

NEFCO is a construction supply company that supports contractors by delivering materials to job sites and home offices. The ideal non-CDL Driver will be 23+ years old and experienced with 24’ and 26’ trucks, delivering to local sites with a focus on timely, courteous service.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading, maintaining accurate manifests, and communicating with dispatch to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Experience driving 24 and 26 ft commercial vehicles.
• 2–5 years driving commercial vehicles.
• CDL preferred, but not required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must pass MVR and background check.
• Must possess a current, valid Medical Card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit in a vehicle for long periods.
• Ability to work in varied climate conditions (cold, heat, humidity).
• Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-trip inspections of vehicle, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product.
• Make deliveries to customer job sites and home offices with a company vehicle.
• Load inventory on truck and unload at sites while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work environment.
• Ensures that manifests are complete and accurate.
• Provide timely, accurate and courteous customer service.
• Check in with customer via company technology to announce arrival and act as liaison.
• Prepares and maintains records according to company policies.
• Communicate from the field with the dispatcher, customer service and/or branch logistics.
