Job summary

Viking Electric in Green Bay, WI is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver. You will start at 4:00am, perform pre-trip inspections, and make local deliveries to customers while handling loading/unloading. You’ll represent Viking Electric, maintaining safety and customer relations on every route.

This full-time role requires a Class B CDL, ability to lift up to 85 pounds, and a commitment to reliable, on-time service in a local delivery setting.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and 21+ years old.
• Ability to climb into delivery vehicles and lift up to 85 pounds.
• DOT physical pass and basic math/English skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and load materials for the day.
• Make local deliveries and assist customers with unloading.
• Build strong customer relationships as the face of Viking Electric.
• Follow safety procedures and operate warehousing equipment as needed.
• Pack and ship orders accurately and maintain a clean, safe work area.

CDL Delivery Driver

Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin

Job type: Full time

License: Class B CDL license

Vehicle Type: Box truck/straight truck

Schedule: 4:00am start time Monday-Friday

Hourly pay: $24.00/hr - $29.00/hr

Distance: Local deliveries - return home each night

What You’ll Do

As a Delivery Driver, you play a vital role in delivering essential electrical products from our warehouse to our valued customers. Each day begins with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your delivery vehicle, followed by loading materials and packages to prepare for the day ahead. You will make local deliveries, contacting customers upon arrival and assisting them with unloading. As the face of our company, you'll build strong relationships with customers who rely on your service and support.

You will…

• Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
• Transport and deliver products to customers with care
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers
• Fill orders and issues materials and supplies per requests.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks or dollies.
• Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Other warehouse duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Valid driver’s license
• Be at least 21 years old
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
• Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Basic English communication skills
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (we provide training)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
• 1 year of related experience and/or training
