Qualifications

Job description

L&W Supply is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. L&W Supply combines the product offerings of a national distributor with the personalized service of a local business.

If you are a licensed CDL Driver seeking a rewarding, local opportunity with an established company, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will ensure the safety of each delivery from departure to completion.

Responsibilities may include:

1. Operating a delivery vehicle to/from the delivery site
2. Unloading and stocking building materials on jobsites as directed
3. Physically handling material with a co-worker
4. Overseeing the safe loading of the delivery vehicle to ensure accuracy and quality
5. Obeying all safety directives from regulatory agencies and the company
6. Following all traffic laws and weight limits
7. Supervising unloading operations at delivery sites for safety and accuracy
8. Ensuring site safety related to deliveries
9. Distributing and placing building materials as indicated on the order ticket
10. Operating boom, crane, or Gradall equipment as needed
11. Ensuring delivered products are neatly placed and presentable
12. Loading and unloading materials in the warehouse as assigned

This position does not require over-the-road travel.

Qualifications include:

1. Valid CDL – Class A
2. Ability to unload, transport, and position building materials
3. Physical ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist during shifts
4. Capability to safely transport materials via stairs, elevators, and boom operations
5. Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance
6. Experience with drywall boom trucks is a plus
7. Semi tractor and trailer experience is preferred
8. Trailer-mounted forklift experience is preferred
9. Crane certification is preferred
