Job summary

Colonial Materials, Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and deliver materials to job sites while providing excellent customer service. CDL is required, with Class B minimum and Class A preferred, and a clean MVR; you will load/unload, follow DOT regulations, and report incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
• Minimum Class B license required; Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck and trailer for defects to ensure safe operation
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at commercial and residential job sites
• Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations
• Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment
• Demonstrate stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading and unloading
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude
