Job summary

US Foods in Saraland, AL is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team and serve our customers with safety and reliability. You will deliver products, unload with care, and verify deliveries with customers on each stop.

The role requires 21+ and a valid CDL A with DOT qualifications, plus 6 months of driving experience (or 3 months if in food/beverage delivery). Benefits start day one, and the schedule runs Monday–Friday with early start times.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers safely and on time.
• Unload using two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand with 100% touch freight.
• Verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Perform pre- and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adapt to other duties as assigned.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects.
