Job summary

Coca-Cola UNITED is hiring a Driver - Cross Dock to transport and deliver products from the distribution center to sales centers. This role involves non-touch freight and operating tractor trailers to move cargo between locations.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, drive between centers, and assist with loading and unloading, with a focus on safety and efficiency. A Class A CDL and DBL endorsement flexibility are required, and weekend work may be involved.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL license required and maintained per policy.
• Doubles Endorsement must be obtained within 30–45 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED; or 12 months related experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or a flexible schedule.
• Ability to pass pre-trip inspections and safety requirements.

Job Description

The Driver - Cross Dock is a non touch freight position and responsible for driving tractor and trailer to transport and deliver products from the distribution center to the sales center.

What your day will look like:

• Completes pre-trip and post trip inspections
• Drives tractor trailers between sales centers
• Operate a forklift
• Assist Warehouse department with loading and unloading of trucks

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum age 21 years old
• Class A Commercial Valid Driver’s License required, and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
• Ability to obtain Doubles Endorsement within 30-45 days of hire date, if applicable
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to become forklift certified
• Ability to provide quality management
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
