Job summary

Sterling Crane LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., is seeking a CDL Crane Rigger for our Elko, NV branch. The role supports crane operations, rigging heavy materials and guiding lifts, with emphasis on safety and signaling.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of rigging experience, NCCER/NCCCO certification preferred, strong math skills, and a team‑oriented approach. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, and pass drug/physical screens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NCCER or NCCCO crane rigger certification - preferred.
• 3+ years previous experience as a rigger.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements.
• Strong knowledge of math applications, weights, measurements, equipment capacity limitations and weight limits.
• Problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify safety issues.
• Previous experience using crane hand signals.
• Team player who has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

The crane rigger will assist the crane operator in the preparation of moving heavy materials, equipment, and the building of mobile cranes.

Physical Requirements

• Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
• Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65lbs.
• Most be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects/materials.
• Must be comfortable working at elevated heights.
