We have one of the largest inventories of modern lifting equipment in North America, with over 1000 units. Due to increased demand, we are seeking a CDL Crane Operator at our Houston Branch.

The crane operator must safely operate cranes efficiently, maintaining accuracy in line with company procedures and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of specialized machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring proper selection and setup regarding crane, lift, or hoist
• Inspect ground conditions and identify overhead obstructions
• Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment
• Keep logs and records of operational activities
• Maintain communication with ground operators via visual signals and radio, responding clearly and promptly
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years experience with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes
• Class A CDL
• Ability to pass drug and physical screens; meet background requirements
• Dependable, reliable, and flexible for overtime
• Current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment
• Ability to read technical drawings and instructions
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Teamwork-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Good depth perception and quick reaction time
• Lift up to 65 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs regularly
• Visual ability to follow signals and operate machinery
• Ability to sit for long periods
• Work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
