Job summary

ChristianaCare Health System is seeking a full-time Courier - CDL Driver to provide daily pick up and delivery of mail, personnel, supplies, and information for almost every department within the ChristianaCare system locations.

Hours cover a 24/7 operation with a rotating schedule including day, evening, and overnight shifts, and travel to DE, NJ, PA, and MD counties is required. CDL-B/A with Passenger endorsement and 2 years driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• CDL-class B or A license with Passenger endorsement required.
• Two years CDL driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports materials to and from locations within the ChristianaCare system (laboratory items, payroll, IT, mail, pharmacy, storeroom, radiology, HR, packages).
• Performs assignments for other departments on request, including dispatch for outside vendors and other healthcare faculties.
• Moves equipment and supplies between ChristianaCare locations.
• Performs operator preventive maintenance daily on assigned vehicles and cleans as needed.
• Operates a 28-passenger shuttle transporting patients, visitors, and employees.
• Adheres to safety rules and reports any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
