Job summary

Smith Ready Mix, Inc. is seeking a concrete mixer driver to operate Class A or B vehicles at Elkhart/St. Joseph counties locations. You will load, deliver, document, and maintain safety standards while serving customers in a reliable and professional manner.

Qualifications include a valid CDL with air brake endorsement, ability to pass a DOT medical exam, and a clean driving record. This is a union-based role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL with air brake endorsement.
• DOT medical exam pass required.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs consistently.
• Clean driving record.
• Read/write in English with legible handwriting.
• Dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and efficient.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy vehicles per safety regulations.
• Load and deliver perishable products with quality service.
• Follow procedures for vehicle readiness and maintenance.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Accurately complete tickets and logs timely.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine washing.
• Coordinate with dispatch and management to streamline operations.
