Job summary

ERDA in Enid, Oklahoma is seeking a CDL driver to provide efficient waste collection for commercial locations along established routes. You will operate packers, front-end loaders, and other trucks, ensuring safety and compliance with DOT regulations, while maintaining records and communicating with dispatchers.

The role requires a valid Oklahoma Class B CDL, pre-employment screens, and a drive-focused approach. Ongoing safety training and participation in route operations are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of truck or equipment driving experience preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma Class B CDL without air brake restriction on hire, plus Solid Waste Defensive Driving within one year.
• Knowledge of motor vehicles, safety rules and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks along routes and follow customer pickup requirements.
• Operate hoisting devices and dump contents into truck bodies.
• May supervise one collector and report safety issues to supervisor.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and maintain records.
• Communicate with dispatchers about delays, accidents, and maintenance problems.
• Maintain awareness of safety hazards and route conditions.
