Local Flat-Bed Driver (CDL Class B), responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a flat-bed straight truck to transport building materials to our customers.
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of products.
- Tarp cargo in inclement weather.
- Maintain DOT travel logs according to Federal and State regulations.
- Inspect truck before and after trips.
- Report any issues or incidents to supervisor.
- Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the assigned uniform and providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of verifiable straight truck driving experience or related fields.
- Ability to handle physical workload, including heavy lifting and applying force to tension/strap bars to secure loads.
- Ability to ascend/descend in a truck cab and flatbed trailer at each stop.
- Experience with flat-bed and tarping.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic.
Required Credentials
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a DOT-required Medical Examination (Medical Card).
- Satisfactory employment and driving records (MVR, etc.).
