Job description

Local Flat-Bed Driver (CDL Class B), responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flat-bed straight truck to transport building materials to our customers.
• Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of products.
• Tarp cargo in inclement weather.
• Maintain DOT travel logs according to Federal and State regulations.
• Inspect truck before and after trips.
• Report any issues or incidents to supervisor.
• Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the assigned uniform and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of verifiable straight truck driving experience or related fields.
• Ability to handle physical workload, including heavy lifting and applying force to tension/strap bars to secure loads.
• Ability to ascend/descend in a truck cab and flatbed trailer at each stop.
• Experience with flat-bed and tarping.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic.

Required Credentials

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a DOT-required Medical Examination (Medical Card).
• Satisfactory employment and driving records (MVR, etc.).
