Job summary

Falmouth Cesspool & Septic in Falmouth, MA seeks a CDL Class B septic service technician/driver to operate a vacuum truck on local routes, pump septic tanks and related systems, and perform basic inspections. Training provided for equipment and software; on-site work with physical outdoor tasks in all weather.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B required with Tanker endorsement a plus (we pay to obtain)
• Must be able to drive manual transmission
• Current DOT medical card and clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Experience with septic pumping or vacuum trucks preferred (training provided)
• Ability to use ServiceCore field service software on tablet (training provided)
• Comfortable with physical outdoor work in all weather, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating hoses
• Reliable, on-time, and takes pride in good work
• Familiarity with Cape Cod roads and Title 5 is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate a vacuum/pump truck safely on local routes throughout Falmouth and surrounding Cape towns
• Pump septic tanks, cesspools, grease traps, and holding tanks for residential and commercial customers
• Locate and uncover tanks and covers; perform basic inspections of tanks, baffles, and components
• Identify and report system issues to the office
• Haul and dispose of septage at approved facilities in compliance with MassDEP and local health rules
• Use ServiceCore to view routes, update status, and complete tickets and records
• Perform daily pre-/post-trip inspections and keep truck/equipment clean and in good order
• Provide friendly, professional service and explain work to customers on site

What You'll Do

• Operate a vacuum/pump truck safely on local routes throughout Falmouth and surrounding Cape towns
• Pump septic tanks, cesspools, grease traps, and holding tanks for residential and commercial customers
• Locate and uncover tanks and covers; perform basic inspections of tanks, baffles, and components
• Identify and report system issues (high water, broken baffles, failed components) to the office
• Haul and dispose of septage at approved facilities in compliance with MassDEP and local Board of Health requirements
• Use ServiceCore (scheduling & work order software) on a company-provided smart tablet to view your daily route, update job status, capture photos and notes, and complete service tickets, pumping records, and disposal manifests
• Perform daily pre-/post-trip inspections and keep your truck and equipment clean and in good working order
• Provide friendly, professional service and explain work to customers on site!

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL Class B (Tanker "N" endorsement a plus will pay to obtain endorsement)
• Must be able to drive manual
• Current DOT medical card and clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Septic pumping or vacuum truck experience preferred, but we'll train the right person
• Ability to use ServiceCore field service software on a company-provided smart tablet (prior experience a plus; we'll train)
• Comfortable with physical, outdoor work in all weather, including digging, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling hoses
• Reliable, on time, and takes pride in good work
• Familiarity with Cape Cod roads and Title 5 a plus
