Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Shelbyville, IN is seeking a CDL Driver/Lumber Yard Associate to drive and coordinate transport of lumber to customer job sites and assist at the yard. The role reports to the Shelbyville store and requires strong customer service, safe driving, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, planning efficient routes, operating trucks and forklift, and maintaining a safe work environment. Full-time hours are 40 per week with day shift expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B CDL Endorsement and DOT physical card required.
• 1–2 years of customer service preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and coordinate delivery of lumber and materials to job sites.
• Assist customers loading and unloading materials and building loads.
• Plan routes for efficient use of time and equipment.
• Maintain yard, assist customers, and perform cycle counts as needed.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards to management.
