Job summary

Darwill in Hillside, IL is seeking a CDL-B driver to service routes across Chicago and surrounding areas. You will load/unload, inspect vehicles, maintain logs, and communicate delays to the Shipping Supervisor to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and CDL Class B certification required.
• Accident-free driving record with a strong commitment to safe driving practices.

• Ability to comprehend English, both written and verbal, and communicate effectively with staff.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of company vehicles throughout the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
• Shrink-wrap pallets and prepare skids to ensure secure packaging for transportation.
• Load, unload, and inventory deliveries; handle materials up to 50 lbs.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Read maps and follow directions to efficiently navigate routes and locations.
• Maintain vehicle logs and delivery paperwork in compliance with procedures.
• Communicate delays or issues to the Shipping Supervisor by phone or approved method.
