Job summary

Miller Environmental Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking a CDL Class B Driver / Field Laborer to support environmental services operations. You will operate CDL Class B vehicles used in remediation, waste transport, industrial cleaning, and spill response, while performing hands-on field labor when not driving.

This role requires safety commitment and flexibility to work in challenging environments under DOT, OSHA, and company requirements, with opportunities for overtime due to emergency responses

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid, unrestricted CDL Class B license with clean driving record.
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor (40–50 lbs).
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel.
• DOT and OSHA safety compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class B vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT and company requirements.
• Drive tractor trailers, tankers, roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, and other CDL units.
• Transport materials between job sites, facilities, and disposal locations.
• Secure loads and ensure proper labeling and placarding for hazardous materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain DOT logs.
• Report accidents, violations, defects, or equipment issues immediately.
• Travel to weigh stations as required for load verification.
• Assist with environmental cleanup, remediation, and spill response as needed.
• Support emergency response deployments and on-call operations.
• Handle, package, and transport regulated materials under supervision.
