Job summary

Miller Environmental Group in Raleigh, NC seeks a CDL Class A Driver / Field Laborer to support environmental services operations. The role combines safe operation of heavy CDL equipment with hands-on field labor in remediation, waste transport, and spill response.

Responsibilities include driving a range of CDL units, performing load securement, and handling regulated materials. The job requires physical endurance, safety commitment, and flexibility for overtime and on‑call duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid, unrestricted CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate CDL vehicles and complete DOT documentation.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. and perform heavy physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain.
• Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, travel (when needed), and be on‑call.
• Ability to wear respirators and meet OSHA respiratory protection requirements.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A vehicles safely and in DOT compliance.
• Drive tractor trailers, tankers, roll-off trucks, and vacuum trucks.
• Transport materials between sites and disposal locations.
• Secure loads and label hazardous materials correctly.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain DOT logs.
• Assist environmental cleanup, remediation, and spill response tasks.
• Set up containment and work zones; assist in equipment setup.
• Perform physical labor including digging, lifting, site prep, and debris removal.
• Support vacuum truck operations and hose handling.
