Job summary

Miller Environmental Group in Charlotte, NC is hiring a CDL Class A Driver / Field Laborer for environmental services. You will operate tractor trailers, tankers, vacuum trucks, and other CDL units, while performing hands-on field labor when not driving.

The role supports emergency response and scheduled projects with emphasis on safety and DOT compliance. Starting pay is $30+ per hour with overtime, on-call shifts, and potential for advancement into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOT physical, fit-for-duty, drug/alcohol screening and background check.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform heavy field labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and varied terrain.
• Willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends, travel and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A vehicles safely and in DOT compliance.
• Drive tractor trailers, tankers, vacuum trucks and other CDL units.
• Transport materials between job sites, facilities and disposal locations.
• Secure loads, label and placard hazardous materials as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT logs.
• Assist with environmental cleanup, spill response and industrial cleaning.
