Job summary

PODS in Buffalo, NY is seeking a CDL-B licensed driver responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to customer sites. You will use a lift mechanism, perform safety inspections, and coordinate with customers to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include documentation, occasional forklift/crane operation, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. A sign-on bonus is offered with competitive hourly pay and benefits. This role emphasizes safety and customer rapport.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B license required and active.
• Minimum 3 months of service as a Driver with the organization (6 months for re-certification).
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain 1 year certification.
• Experience with electronic equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a lift to load/unload containers at customer sites safely.
• Perform and log daily pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and lift.
• Accept add-on deliveries as needed to meet business needs.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck and cab.
