Job summary

Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment is seeking a CDL driver to deliver completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships and other company locations across the Northeast U.S. You will perform minor maintenance and ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B with no Air Brake Restriction, a current DOT medical exam, and at least 2 years of experience. Expect periodic weather-related challenges and adherence to FMCSR/DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak English as required by federal regulations.
• Familiarity with manual logbooks.
• Team player with a strong work ethic, courteous, flexible, punctual and professional.
• Level headed, detail oriented and safety conscious.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Valid and clean CDL Class A or B with no Air Brake Restriction.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis, and parts to dealerships and other Dejana locations.
• Perform minor truck and trailer maintenance.
• Deliveries within the North East Region of the US.
• Use maps and directions to ensure economical use of time and equipment.
• Accurately maintain daily driver log book.
• Pre and post trip inspections of vehicles.
• Assess site locations prior to delivery/pickup for safe operations.
• Perform duties in inclement weather and other related tasks as assigned.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• As a CDL B Driver under the general supervision of the Logistics Specialist you will deliver and unload completed trucks chassis and parts to dealerships as well as other Dejana locations
• You will also be responsible for minor truck and trailer maintenance
• Deliveries are made within the North East Region of the US
• You will be able to accomplish this by Effectively using maps and directions to ensure most economical use of time and equipment
• Accurately maintaining daily driver log book
• Performing pre check and post check inspections of vehicles as minor maintenance
• Having good communication skillswritten and verbal and the ability to follow instructions
• Maintaining a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadways
• Properly assessing site locations in advance of truck deliverypickup to ensure adequate access for safe operations
• Performing all responsibilities and duties during inclement weather within safe operating standards
• Performing other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a commercial vehicle while traveling to and from customer and company locations The driver will be responsible for operating vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations FMCSR and Department of Transportation DOT requirements The position requires frequent sitting while driving as well as regular standing walking climbing on and off equipment and loading and unloading materials Employees must be able to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity hand eye coordination and attention to detail Work is performed year round and may involve exposure to a variety of weather conditions and temperatures Duties are conducted both on the road and outdoors and require the ability to work safely in changing environmental conditions
