Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment, a Douglas Dynamics division, is seeking an assembler for trucks and cargo vans. You will follow blueprints and SOPs, perform hydraulic and electrical installations, and ensure quality through checks.

You will document activities and address issues with supervision, contributing to timely production goals. The role requires reading complex drawings, working with hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe, efficient workspace in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting advanced blueprints and diagrams.
• Assembling trucks and cargo vans per SOPs and engineering drawings.
• Performing hydraulic PTO and auto electrical installations.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure compliance with specs.
• Documenting work and communicating issues to supervision.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

You will be responsible for performing the assembly of trucks and cargo vans. The assembly must be completed according to the goals set by the Branch Manager. You will do this by Assembling advanced equipment and products under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures Reading interpreting and following advanced blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications bill of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products Meeting production schedule deadlines as designated by the Production Manager Performing quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards Identifying product defects and documenting them Performing all necessary documentation in a timely manner Conferring with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems Reworking andor repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes Performing all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Maintaining a clean and safe work area

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS

• Ability to assemble and install equipment and products under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Ability to read interpret and follow advanced blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications bill of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assembleinstall equipment and products
• Ability to perform hydraulic PTO and auto electrical installations
• Ability to perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions while remembering multiple tasks
• Good vision detail oriented and organized; self motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Advanced mechanical andor electrical skills
• Must have own tools
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Education & Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment or technical school

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Most of the workday is spent standing and walking on concrete floors Frequent bending kneeling reaching pushing pulling and lifting are required The ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required Must be able to safely use hand tools and power tools and perform work requiring good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity Must be able to stand walk and move around the production area for extended periods of time Good vision and hearing are required to safely perform work and communicate with coworkers This position works indoors in a manufacturing and warehouse environment Work is performed in production and installation areas and may require both sitting and standing throughout the day Temperatures may vary throughout the facility depending on the work area Exposure to noise dust and other conditions commonly found in a manufacturing environment should be expected
