Eckerd Connects is hiring a Bus Driver to provide transportation for students and perform related duties at our Old Dominion Job Corps location in Monroe, VA. The role requires a CDL and a valid license, with a driver-record check and drug screening.

The position offers full-time hours with an hourly rate of $18.75 and benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, vacation, holidays, sick leave, and a retirement plan. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class A or higher required.
• Valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Six months work-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Bus Driver is responsible for supplying transportation services to students and performing general maintenance duties throughout the center.
• The Bus Driver inspects and reports on the mechanical condition of vehicles.
• Maintains accurate and complete trip reports of each use of any vehicle.
• When not performing the duties of the Bus Driver will perform alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, vandalism, fire, flood, or similar disaster, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
