Job summary

Eckerd Connects is hiring a Driver for the Pittsburgh Job Corps location. This hourly, non-exempt role involves providing transportation services to students, performing maintenance, inspecting vehicle conditions, and maintaining trip reports.

When not driving, duties include alarm and patrol tasks to safeguard people and property at the center. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of related experience preferred, a valid state driver’s license with a clean

Responsibilities

• The Driver reports to the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager and is an hourly, non-exempt position.
• The Driver supplies transportation services to students and performs general maintenance duties throughout the center.
• The Driver inspects and reports on the mechanical condition of vehicles.
• Maintains accurate and complete trip reports of each vehicle use.
• When not performing driving duties, the Driver will perform alarm and patrol duties to protect life and property.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Position

Hourly Range: $20 - $21

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Driver reports to the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager and is an hourly, non-exempt position.
• The Driver is responsible for supplying transportation services to students and performing general maintenance duties throughout the center.
• The Driver inspects and reports on the mechanical condition of vehicles.
• Maintains accurate and complete trip reports of each use of any vehicle.
• When not performing the duties of the Driver will perform alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, vandalism, fire, flood, or similar disaster, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months work-related experience preferred.
• Valid State driver's license and an acceptable driving record required.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
