Job summary

Penske Logistics in Decatur, AL is seeking CDL Class A Yard Drivers for full-time positions. You will move trailers, couple/uncouple, and ensure safe handling in a fast-paced yard. Expect home daily with a 2pm–10pm schedule, five days a week and occasional weekend work.

Overtime after 40 hours and comprehensive benefits accompany this role. Earn $25.50 per hour with overtime eligibility and a strong benefits package including health, retirement, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years.
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents in 3 years.
• Follow all federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• English language proficiency is required by federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)).
• Work the required schedule and location; background check and drug screening required.
• Role is DOT-regulated or safety sensitive; must stay alert and safe.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors.
