Job summary

Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time Class A CDL truck driver with Hazmat endorsement for local and over-the-road deliveries. This role focuses on safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery to customers.

Responsibilities include operating a tractor-trailer, delivering hazardous and general cargo, maintaining DOT-compliant logs, and communicating conditions to dispatch for on-time runs.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement is required.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Must pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer or truck (≥26,000 GVW) to transport and deliver general and hazardous goods.
• Local and over-the-road deliveries in accordance with DOT regulations and SOPs.
• Maintain logs in compliance with DOT hours of service rules.
• Report information to dispatcher regarding road conditions, weather, or vehicle issues.

Job description

Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time professional Class A CDL truck driver with Hazmat endorsement for local and over the road deliveries. This position will be responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drive a tractor-trailer combination or truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW to transport and deliver both general, dangerous goods and specialized cargo, goods or materials in liquid, loose, packaged or palletized form.
• Local and over the road delivery of both general, dangerous goods and specialized freight in accordance with DOT regulations and company's standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure timely delivery on both regular and ad hoc runs.
• Keeping and maintaining logs of activities in accordance with DOT regulations as to the hours driven and condition of vehicle.
• Reporting information to dispatcher via cell phone or computer on schedule, road conditions, weather, mechanical or other important situations or conditions which may adversely impact delivery deadline.

Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Hold CDL Class A license with Hazmat Endorsement
• Good driving record
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Strong interpersonal and excellent customer service skills are required
• Must pass drug test and background check

Education:

• Minimum high school or equivalent
