Vulcan Materials Company in Virginia is seeking a CDL-A truck driver to transport sand, gravel, crushed rock and other building materials. You will operate commercial trucks and equipment, performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining safe operations.

Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others at all times in accordance with Vulcan standards while operating equipment in and out of the plant.
Operate a commercial truck to haul and transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, and/or other building materials. May operate equipment within the plant to load materials. The ideal candidate must hold a valid CDL Class A license.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Vulcan standards. Complete daily mobile equipment reports and other relevant documentation with accuracy. Must be able to handle and understand Department of Transportation regulations, keeping all documentation up to date.
Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels, and assist in performing other minor maintenance. Report unsafe mechanical conditions to supervisor.
Monitor your surroundings when operating equipment in and out of the plant and report any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required to ensure safety.
