Cornerstone Building Brands in Dartmouth, MA is seeking a Day Shift, full-time CDL driver to join our delivery team. This role involves loading and unloading, route delivery, and ensuring safety and DOT compliance on every trip.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, logs, and fuel the vehicle, while maintaining professional customer interactions and accurate documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Ability to obtain a D.O.T. Medical Certificate.
• 2 years of previous tractor trailer driving experience including winter driving experience.
• Previous hands on delivery experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Reviews load sheet and loads for the day’s deliveries.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment. Reports any issues to Supervisor.
• Fuels the vehicle and authorizes fuel bill.
• Transports materials in a safe and efficient manner.
• Observes all DOT regulations, rules of the road, and defensive driving techniques.
• Locates customer’s business/residence and confers with client as to where to unload materials.
• Safely unloads materials, checks quality, reviews packing slip with customer, and secures customer signature.
• Deals with customers in a courteous and professional fashion and accommodates customers’ requests whenever possible.
• Picks up materials from vendors, and checks and verifies quality and quantity of materials before receipt.
• Returns to plant and unloads vehicle.
• Rotates functions with the department as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
• Performs all functions according to sound safety principles, company policies, and procedures.
• Notifies Shipping Supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
• Report any incidents and accidents promptly.
• Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including driver’s logs, timecards, etc
• Must meet company appearance standards.
• Communicates effectively across and within company departments.
• Maintains good housekeeping in the department.
• Scan all product via handheld device provided
• All other duties as assigned
