Harvey Building Products in Londonderry, NH is seeking a full-time Driver to transport, deliver, and unload windows and doors for dealers, distribution centers, and construction sites. You will follow DOT regulations, perform inspections, and provide courteous customer service.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience (winter driving preferred), and the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate.

• Previous hands-on delivery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Transport, deliver, and unload Harvey's windows and doors to customers, dealers, distribution centers, and job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues to the supervisor.
• Fuels the vehicle and manages fuel bills; complies with DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Safely unloads materials, checks quality, reviews packing slips, and secures customer signatures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and communicate effectively across departments.

JOB DETAILS

Shift: Day Shift, Full-time Monday through Friday

Our Location: Harvey Building Products 30 Jacks Bridge Rd, Londonderry NH 03053

Pay Rate: $30.00/ hourly

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload Harvey's windows and doors to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a tractor trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.

• Reviews load sheet and load for the day's deliveries
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment. Reports any issues to Supervisor
• Fuels the vehicle and authorizes fuel bill
• Transports materials in a safe and efficient manner
• Observes all DOT regulations, rules of the road, and defensive driving techniques
• Locates customer's business/residence and confers with client as to where to unload materials
• Safely unloads materials, checks quality, reviews packing slip with customer, and secures customer signature
• Deals with customers in a courteous and professional fashion and accommodates customers' requests whenever possible
• Picks up materials from vendors, and checks and verifies quality and quantity of materials before receipt
• Returns to plant and unloads vehicle
• Rotates functions with the department as needed and assigned by Supervisor. Works as a contributing member of the department team
• Performs all functions according to sound safety principles, company policies, and procedures
• Notifies Shipping Supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues
• Report any incidents and accidents promptly
• Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including driver's logs, timecards, etc
• Must meet company appearance standards
• Communicates effectively across and within company departments
• Maintains good housekeeping in the department
• Scan all product via handheld device provided
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain a D.O.T. Medical Certificate
• 2 years of previous tractor trailer driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Previous hands on delivery experience preferred
