Job summary

Novo Building Products in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Switch Driver to drive trailers in and out of the yard, secure loads, and prepare shipments. Strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to perform manual labor with a semi truck are essential.

You will back trailers to docks and may assist in the warehouse in a DOT-compliant environment. This full-time, day-shift role offers hourly pay and requires CDL Class A or B.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL Class A or B certification.
• Must meet physical requirements and safety standards.
• Able to read and follow written procedures and instructions.
• 18 years or older and flexible for overtime.
• Valid DOT physical is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck to staging area for loading.
• Inspect tractor and trailer per company and DOT policies.
• Check loads and ensure product and packing slips are correct.
• Secure loads by ratcheting down straps.
• Communicate issues with Supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and operate equipment safely.
• May assist in warehouse duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
