DHT Group in Chicago, IL is hiring CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Drivers for our Propane & Butane Division serving the Chicago region. Earn $1,300–$2,500+ gross weekly with home weekly, based on experience and routes.

Responsibilities include safely transporting propane/butane (UN1075), loading/unloading, and performing required inspections while meeting DOT and safety standards. Regional operation with consistent freight and strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat endorsement required prior to hire
• Tanker endorsement required prior to hire; combined X endorsement accepted
• 1–2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience preferred
• Safe driving record
• Ability to meet applicable DOT qualification requirements
• Ability to work safely outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely handle hoses, pumping equipment, and required PPE
• Commitment to safe, professional operation

Responsibilities

• Safely transport propane and butane (UN1075)
• Deliver throughout Illinois and surrounding regional service areas
• Load product from regional supply terminals including Morris, Lemont, and Channahon, Illinois
• Safely load and unload tanker trailers using pumping equipment
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete electronic logs and shipping documentation
• Maintain tanker equipment, valves, hoses, placards, and required PPE
• Follow applicable DOT, FMCSA, customer, and DHT safety requirements
• Provide professional service at terminals and customer locations

DHT Group is hiring CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Drivers for our growing Propane & Butane Division serving the Chicago, Illinois region.

$1,300–$2,500+ average gross weekly earnings. $0.70–$0.75 CPM. Paid loading and unloading. Home weekly.

This is specialized regional tanker work hauling propane and butane (UN1075) throughout Illinois and surrounding regional markets.

Compensation

Average Gross Weekly Earnings: $1,300–$2,500+

• $0.70–$0.75 CPM, based on experience

Home Weekly — Regional Operation

• Home every week
• Typical schedule of approximately 5 days on the road followed by 2 days home
• Regional operation serving Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding markets
• One weekend day availability required
• Consistent work during peak propane season

What You'll Do

Drivers with transferable tanker experience are encouraged to apply.
