JA Frate Inc. is a well-established transportation and logistics company serving the Chicagoland area. We are hiring a dependable CDL Class A Driver who values safety, professional service, and being part of a team that keeps freight moving.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday, 2nd shift schedule with home every night and no weekends. Training begins at our Crystal Lake terminal with paid mileage provided, and benefits support your health, retirement, and family needs.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license and at least two years of CDL A driving experience.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred and must be obtained within three months of hire.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer or commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Complete local pickups and deliveries while providing professional, reliable service.
• Load, unload, and secure freight as needed.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.

The Job at a Glance

Full-time | Monday–Friday | 2nd shift | Home every night | No weekends
Start time: 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
Typical shift: 9–10 hours

Training: Your first week will be at our Crystal Lake home base terminal, with paid mileage provided.

What You Bring

• Valid CDL Class A license and at least two years of CDL A driving experience.
• Pickup-and-delivery experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred and must be obtained within three months of hire.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong safety mindset, dependable work habits, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to meet company driving standards and pass all required screenings, including a drug screen, DOT physical, Functional Employment Physical, and participation in the random drug testing program.
