Pipe Movers, Inc. seeks a CDL Class A driver to safely deliver materials to customers and PMI locations, following all DOT and company rules. The role includes driving a tractor-trailer, handling paperwork, and coordinating with branches and warehouse teams.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with day shifts; strong customer service and safety focus are required. The driver will load/unload as needed, ensure proper securing of materials, and maintain accurate delivery records.

Description du poste

The CDL Class A Driver will safely and efficiently deliver materials to customers and between PMI locations in a timely and professional manner. This position requires safe driving, good customer service, proper paperwork, and following all company and DOT rules.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Understand PMI Pipe Steel & Supplies' mission
• Safely operate a tractor-trailer with a Class A CDL
• Follow all state, federal, DOT, and company driving rules
• Deliver material safely and on time
• Check that the trailer is safely connected to the tractor
• Safely move the truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas
• Follow directions from warehouse staff during loading and unloading
• Help load and unload material when needed
• Make sure all material is properly secured with straps, chains, blocks, or other approved equipment
• Review and follow delivery instructions
• Communicate with branch manager, sales team, warehouse team, and other employees as needed
• Complete all required delivery, vehicle, and inventory paperwork
• Preform a vehicle inspection before and after each workday
• Keep signed invoices, bills or landing, and other delivery paperwork organized and return them to the correct person
• Communicate truck services and maintenance needs to the SEFF Corodinator
• Report truck problems, accidents, damage, or violations right away
• Track and report working hours using required system
• Move and organize trailers in the yard when needed
• Follow all company rules and safety procedures
• Driver safely for road, traffic, and weather conditions
• Make safety a priority at all times
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be at least 25 years of age for company insurance requirements
• Must have strong customer service skills
• Must communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Must be able to stay focused in a busy work environment
• Must be dependable and responsible
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision

Education and Experience:

• Valid Class A Commerical Driver License (CDL) required
• Must pass required background checks and drug testing along with meet all DOT requirements
• Experience driving a tractor-trailer preferred
• Experience operating warehouse equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit and drive for long periods
• Must be able to lift and move up to 80 pounds
• Must be able to travel frequently
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to squat, twist, reach and stand/walk for an entire workday
• Ability to work in Texas weather i.e., heat, cold, dust, rain
