Job summary

Viking Group, Inc. is seeking a reliable CDL Driver to join our team and be home daily. This role involves delivering materials to customer shops and job sites, with early starts and a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, document deliveries with signatures and photos, and follow all DOT/OSHA regulations. Training for equipment will be provided to support loads on flatbeds and other gear.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customer shops and job sites by following directions.
• Assess job site conditions and unload safely.
• Follow DOT/OSHA regulations and company policies for vehicle operation.
• Obtain customer signatures on delivery documents.
• Photograph deliveries to document quantity and materials.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Participate in training for boom cranes and truck-mounted equipment.
• Be available for early starts, as early as 4:00 a.m.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Secure loads per regulations and company procedures.
• Deliver to active sites while maintaining customer service.
• Follow SOPs and seek clarification as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Follow maps, GPS, or written directions to deliver materials to customer shops and job sites.
• Use good judgment in assessing job site conditions and ensuring safe unloading practices.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, licensing, company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations in the operation of company vehicles.
• Obtain valid customer signatures on all delivery documentation.
• Take clear photos of deliveries to document quantities and materials delivered (e.g., 6 bundles, 2 skids, etc.).
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Training will be provided for additional equipment that may be used, including boom cranes and other truck-mounted equipment.
• Be available for early start times, including as early as 4:00 a.m.
• Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Successfully complete training and certification requirements on company equipment used to load and unload pipe and other materials from flatbed trailers and other approved equipment.
• Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company procedures to ensure safe transportation of materials.
• Deliver materials to active construction sites, customer facilities, and other delivery locations while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and seek clarification when needed to ensure duties are completed accurately and safely.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support operational and customer service objectives.
